Let Them Fight!

Let Them Fight!
The Hell Creek formation is a source of some of the most iconic dinosaurs we know, like Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, and Ankylosaurs. It's not all land dwelling creatures though, as some spots contain material that was once the Western Interior Seaway, a massive ocean in the middle of what's now North America.

Earlier this year, a fossil taken from this area was analyzed and identified as belonging to a Mosasaur, an interesting find considering that most Mosasaur fossils come from further south. This discovery means that the terrifying sea reptile would have been a contemporary of it's land equivalent, the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Is it possible that they might have come to blows? Probably not, considering a difference in diet and habitat. Still though, a battle between these titans of land and sea is quite fun to think about!
